how it all started
This boutique started in the corner of our master bedroom in our 1000 sq. ft. apartment about 6 years ago. I needed something to focus on as we rebuilt our life from the ground up.
Back in 2018 we had just sold a dearly loved home. The home we built, designed, poured our blood, sweat, and tears into. It was our dream come true home. But as life would have it, we sold it to cover a mound of debt and mistakes. Although thankful for the ability to use it in such a way, it didn’t stop the sting of disappointment.
We ended up back in an apartment. I say back because that is where my husband and I started out when we first married. This time, however, we had two kids in tow and a cat. My strength, stress and ability to hold my world together was tested daily.
I held on to anger and resentment and wondered what the heck happened to our lives. Our dreams. How did it all fall apart? Have you ever felt that way?
Little did I know, through the struggle, God was rebuilding our lives, this time stronger, sweeter, and better in so many ways.
It was a painfully slow process but while God was working, He brought purpose and passion back into our lives while revealing the things we needed to let go of and change. It wasn't just a slow process, it was messy.
I remember the day we moved out of that small apartment. I remember looking around our new home on 5 acers and seeing mountains in every direction. I prayed for those mountains friends. I prayed that no matter where we lived I'd be able to see mountains in every direction so I'd always be reminded of His power, hope and love that brought us through the most challenging season of our lives.
That's why my signature necklace is: Moving Mountains. Because NOTHING is impossible for Him.
The message I want to share...
The message I want to share is this: You might not be where you want to be, but God isn’t finished with you yet! Keep your eye on the mountains and remember to hold on to hope, and keep going!
Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20-21
