When we let God write our story…

If we were to write our own story, I imagine would almost always cut ourselves short. I don't know about you, but I tend to choose safety—to stay within the bounds of what feels manageable and comfortable. God has been revealing to me He has a much different plan for my life.

 

"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts." - Isaiah 55:8-9

 

When I surrender my limited plans for His greater vision, I see that He has something far more beautiful in mind than I ever could. His plans stretch me, show me I’m capable of more, and remind me that with Jesus by my side—nothing is impossible. The more I see God work and His plans unfold, the more I want to surrender to His will for my life because the small glimpses I see now, are so beautiful!

 

As I put finishing touches on the boutique this week—filling the empty spaces my dear friend left behind with new benches, shelves, and fresh painted signs —I’m reminded of His faithfulness. None of this would be possible without Him. His perfect timing. His provision. His vision. His plan.
