Sometimes when we want something so badly, we convince ourselves it’s impossible… or that we’re undeserving. Life has a way of getting in the way of dreams, goals, and ambitions. Life can be plain hard, friends—but you already know that.
When God opened the door for me to own my very own storefront, I honestly questioned if I could really do it. Could I come up with the funds? Could I fill the space with enough inventory? God handed me the dream I had prayed for, yet all I could see were the obstacles. I doubted. I thought, this is too good to be true. It won’t work. How could it?
But here’s what I’m learning: if God opens the door, He has already made a way.
As I look back now, I’m thankful He had me wait until this moment. Years ago, I wouldn’t have been ready. The waiting was hard, but it was also preparation—time for learning, growing, and trusting. And when God finally said, “You’re ready”… I could hardly believe Him. Yet here I am, stepping into this dream headfirst—not because of me, but because of Him.
We don’t always understand how He works, but time reveals His plans. I stand in awe of how faithful God is—how He has shown up, provided, and blessed. Not because of who I am, but because of who He is: kind, patient, loving, our healer, Father, provider… our everything.
What I’m learning is this: my job is obedience and surrender. God, in His lovingkindness, takes care of everything else.
